The sheet: take the workings off the page — explained

What a first-time reader asks here

Why pin the findings and then remove the Cells? What disappeared, and what stayed?

Nothing disappeared. The Cells left the page, not the record: their 200-odd records are all still in the log, and Log shows them. What stayed on the page is what a reader needs — four ledgers and a report — each block naming the record it shows (#64, #115, #169, #226, #228) and what fed it. The page is a choice of what to show; the log is what happened.

What do I have now that I did not have at the front door?

A sentence of corporate prose taken apart on the record: two events that happened, a plan that is only declared, the places where each could be checked, one connection the release suggests and never states, every fact restated so that it can be verified — and a report that says all of it in three paragraphs. And for each line of it, an answer to who said so?: you, the machine, or the world.
